You get one extra year or 20,000 miles of coverage after the original warranty ends. These are Audis that are generally five model years or newer with under 60,000 miles, and each one goes through an inspection covering more than 125 components before it earns the Certified Pre-Owned name. What Audi requires, and what you get
Audi Certified pre-owned vehicles are exclusive to Audi dealers. To qualify, a car is generally 5 model years or newer, with no more than 60,000 miles, and a vehicle history report that meets Audi’s guidelines.
The inspection
Audi-trained technicians inspect more than 125 components. The process covers the interior, exterior, engine compartment, and under the vehicle, plus a road test. Confirm Certified Pre-Owned on the window sticker.
The extra coverage
You get one extra year or 20,000 miles of Certified Pre-Owned Limited Warranty after the original 4-year/50,000-mile new-car warranty ends — or from the day you buy it if that warranty is already over. Covered repairs are performed free of charge at authorized Audi dealers. The high-voltage battery is not covered by the Certified warranty (it may still have remaining new-car coverage). For sales on or after August 1, 2023, that Certified warranty is for the original Certified purchaser only.

Is Certified Pre-Owned only instead of new or a lease?
No. Certified Pre-Owned is another way into an Audi, not a vote against a new car or a lease. A new lease is the newest car, with a set number of miles and an inspection when you return it.
